Smart India Hackathon 2026 Successfully Organised at BSA College of Engineering and Technology

Mathura, 15 September 2026: BSA College of Engineering and Technology successfully organised the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 – Internal Round, conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The event provided students with a platform to showcase their innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills. A total of 45 teams participated and presented technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

Team Veritas secured the first position and was awarded a cash prize of ₹5,100, followed by Team Chatpate Minds, which secured the second position with a prize of ₹3,100. Team InnovateX secured the third position and received a cash prize of ₹2,100. The winning teams were also presented with trophies and certificates. Consolation prizes were awarded to Team One Touch and Team CropTech for their commendable efforts and participation.

The event was conducted under the leadership of Hon’ble Chairman Mr. Nitin Mittal, Governing Board Member Mr. Umang Mittal, Director Dr. S.S. Agrawal, Adviser Mr. Bhagwan Singh, Registrar Mr. Ashutosh Sharma, and Dean Dr. Lokendra Kumar Sharma.

The event received dedicated support from Dr. Durga Puja, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Techmanthan Club Coordinators Ms. Aashna Kushwaha and Mr. Vishal Sharma. Faculty members from various departments also extended their valuable support throughout the event, contributing to its smooth and successful conduct.

A panel of 12 judges evaluated the participating teams on key parameters including innovation, technical feasibility, problem-solving approach, and real-world impact of their proposed solutions.

The hackathon was coordinated by Mr. Gopalji Varshneya, whose meticulous planning, coordination, and dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the event.The programme reinforced the institution’s commitment to innovation, technological excellence, entrepreneurship, and practical learning. The management extended its best wishes to the winning teams as they prepare to represent the institution at the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2026.
