Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering deals with an area of science and technology that involves mechanical work pertaining to design and production of devices, machines, processes and conversion systems. Since all manufactured products must be constructed from solid material, mechanical engineers are involved in the structural integrity and material selection for almost every product in the market.

We train the students from theoretical aspects and practical aspects in the various areas of Mechanical Engineering such as Machine Design, Stress Analysis, Theory of Machines, Measurements and Automatic Control, Thermodynamics, Thermal Machines, Power Plant Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering etc.

The department has established laboratories as follows:

CAD/CAM Lab:

CAD/CAM lab is equipped with all the modern software and types of equipment like Solidworks, Auto CAD, CNC Milling Machine, CNC Lathe Machine, Robot, etc. These labs are equipped with all the modern mechanical testing, measuring and other instruments such as Universal Testing Machine, Gyroscope, Four Stroke Multi Cylinder Petrol and Diesel Engines, Steam Turbine, Test Rig, Kaplan and Francis Turbine, Pelton Wheel, refrigeration Cycle Test Rig, Ice Plant Tutor, Milling Machines, Shaper, Planer, Slotter, Capstan Lathe, etc
