From the very modest beginning, the department has come a long way and today it is rated as one of the leading Electronics & Communication Department of the private Engineering Colleges of U.P.
The core program is supplemented by a well-chosen set of elective courses permitting the students to specialize in their chosen field. The curriculum gives adequate emphasis on the analog & digital processing of information for efficient communication. The electronic circuits have grown enormously in complexity and functionality in this IT age. To cope up with this trend, knowledge & experience of the use of computer-aided design automation tools have become mandatory. The courses on VLSI system & CAD of Electronic circuit lab are to fulfil this objective.
The department has established the following state-of-the-art laboratories:
All these labs are equipped with all the modern electronic testing, measuring and other instruments.
Electronics Labs such as DSOs, CROs, Function Generator, Power Supplies, Audio Oscillator, IC Testers, Kits with elaborate type of modulations (analog & digital), Microprocessor , Reflex Klystron Test Benches, Satellite Communication Receivers, Test bench facility of measurement of frequency, VSWR, impedance and power of high-frequency waves.
Microwave Lab:
Microwave lab consists of reflex klystron test benches, satellite communication receivers, Horn antenna trainer (used for radars and satellites) to understand the high frequency communication technologies. Other equipments available are magnetron test bench, gun source test bench with facility of measurement of frequency, VSWR, impedance and power of high frequency-waves.
Control & Instrumentation Lab:
This lab is developed with all the modern and conventional control and testing equipments to make the students understand the technology in a better way. In this lab we are having AC servomotor, compensation networks, angular position transducers, PID controllers, servo voltage regulators, error detectors, temperature control system etc.
Electronics Circuits Design Lab:
In this lab students can design different electronic circuits using simulation softwares like pspice, MAT Lab etc.
Pulse & Digital Circuits Lab:
The pulse and digital circuit lab is established to make the students familiar with the modern and present day digital technology. For the understanding elements of digital techniques various digital ICs and training kits are available with CROs, power supplies, digital multimeters and digital IC testers to test the characteristics of ICs and other components and devices.
Electronics Workshop & PCB Lab:
In this lab students are made acquainted to different techniques of making electronics circuits (printed circuits board) by using sophisticated instruments used for etching, drilling, printing of PCB etc. Facilities are also available to provide the basic knowledge of wiring & fitting & also fabrication of power supply.
Microprocessor Lab:
This lab consists of various Microprocessor kits like on which students are trained to work various mathematical functions. They are made to train with the concept of interfacing Microprocessor kit with peripheral devices like keyboards & printers etc.
Power Electronics Lab:
The basics and advances in the field of power electronics can be studied in this lab using various equipments and components as per the prescribed syllabus. The available experimental systems consist of DC chopper, series capacitor, commutation & phase control circuit.
CAD Lab:
The Core program is supplement by well chosen set of elective courses permitting the students to specialize in the chosen field. The analog & digital electronic circuits have grown enormously in complexity and functionality in this IT age. To cope up with this trend, knowledge & experience on the use of computer aided design automation tools have become mandatory. The course on VLSI system & CAD lab provides just that elements of digital techniques of various digital ICs and training kits are available with CROs, power supplies, digital multimeters and digital IC testers to test the characteristics of ICs and other components and devices.
